I built an anonymous chat site called Whisfer—like whisper.

This wasn’t a serious project. I got bored and wanted to make something quick and weird. You can try it out at whisfer.

Messages disappear after 48 hours, and there are reactions too. More stuff’s probably coming—like spaces, which are basically group chats people can create and join.

The Stack I’m Using

Built with:

  • Vite + React (JSX)
  • Tailwind CSS for styling
  • Firebase for backend + data
  • Vercel for hosting

Honestly, I’m kind of bored of it already. I mean, it’s fun, but what’s the point of building too much onto it if I’m not really going to do much with it? Sure, it’s about building skills—but I think I’d rather just build things more like a skeleton and not add too much if I don’t really believe in it.

I might keep working on it—depends on if it picks up or I feel like it. Maybe I’ll post it on Reddit or something.
